Aparthotel in Kathmandu — Hotel-Style Service in a Self-Contained Apartment

Three self-contained apartments on New Plaza, Putalisadak with the services a good hotel would give you: smart-lock self check-in 24/7, mid-stay housekeeping on request, local host on WhatsApp, airport pickup pre-arranged. Plus the things hotels do not give you — a real kitchen, a washing machine, fast fibre Wi-Fi, and a workspace built for the working day.

The aparthotel parts of the stay

Hotel-style smart-lock check-in

Self check-in 24/7 via smart-lock keypad — no reception desk to queue at on a late landing, no key handover. Same flow as a modern hotel with self-service.

Mid-stay housekeeping option

On stays of 5+ nights, mid-stay housekeeping (linen change, bathroom clean, restock) included on request. You opt in or out via WhatsApp.

Full kitchen — not a kitchenette

Induction hob, oven, fridge-freezer, dishwasher, full crockery, knives, basic spices. Cook properly instead of eating hotel-breakfast-buffet for a week.

Local host on WhatsApp 24/7

Same person, every message, the whole stay — restaurant recommendations, laundry pickup, breakfast delivery on request, the airport-pickup arrangement.

Aparthotel Kathmandu — FAQs

What is the difference between an aparthotel and a regular apartment?
An aparthotel offers hotel-style services (housekeeping, linen change, sometimes breakfast or concierge) inside a self-contained apartment with kitchen and separate bedroom. A regular short-stay apartment is mostly self-service — you cook, clean and manage your own stay. Tiny Living sits on the aparthotel side: full kitchen + smart-lock self check-in + the optional housekeeping / linen change service on longer stays.
Do you have a reception desk?
No. Modern aparthotels (and Tiny Living specifically) replace the reception desk with smart-lock self check-in 24/7 and a local host on WhatsApp. You arrive at any hour, tap the door code, and the Wi-Fi connects. Restaurant reservations, laundry pickup, airport-taxi bookings — all handled by WhatsApp instead of a front desk.
Is breakfast included?
Not by default — the full kitchen lets you cook your own (saving USD 12–20 per person per day vs the hotel breakfast buffet). For longer stays, we can arrange a daily breakfast tray delivered to the apartment for NPR 600–1,200 per day depending on the menu. Message us on WhatsApp at the time of booking.
Where is the aparthotel located?
All three Tiny Living apartments are on New Plaza, Putalisadak — central Kathmandu (postal code 44600). 12-minute walk to Thamel, 5-minute to Durbar Marg, 10-minute taxi from Tribhuvan International Airport. Detail on the broader neighbourhood in our where to stay in Kathmandu guide.
What is the minimum stay?
1 night is the minimum for the studio; 2 nights for the two-bedroom apartments. The full aparthotel-style service makes sense from 3+ nights — at 1–2 nights a hotel with concierge is usually less friction. Long stays (28+ nights) get a built-in 15% monthly discount; see monthly stays.
